Great write-up. The graphics frequency comparison saved me from buying the older N300 version at a discount.
Bought the N350 refresh for field diagnostics — the serial port plus the newer chip is exactly the combo I needed. Build feels identical to my old unit.
A great device. Hope the next version is a slimmer and lighter ARM-based version. If that needs letting go of the swivel screen, so be it, because everyone has a smartphone with an almost as big a screen that does touch-only much better than Windows. Something around 300 grams would be amazing.
Need a built-in webcam or at least a purpose built/compact attachment that integrates well. There’s no webcam on the market that we can use on this while on being handheld. At least think of an attachable cradle for Android phones (yes, too many different sizes) since we can use them as webcams via USB-C.
Also, a lanyard attachment point at rear right (not just front left) for right handed people. Would be perfect if there were some customisable keys also without making the keyboard smaller. E.g. key combos like alt-tab, and ctrl-tab, ctrl-shift-tab, ctrl-shift-t are hard to execute while the device is being handheld and needs placing on a surface.
At all costs, retain Miracast. Keyboard layout is also perfect. Maybe a tiny bit easier to press keys would be nicer.
Thanks for your feedback on the MicroPC 2.
