USB 4.0 Type-Cケーブル

The overall quality is high, and the built-in power meter is a great idea. It would be even better, if this display could be readable in a rotated layout too - maybe with a switch to rotate the numbers, or having another display on the backside, with a rotated layout.

I received my GPD Win Mini 2025 a few days ago. It works great and I would recommend this for anyone who is in doubt.

USB 4.0 Type-C Cable

The USB 4.0 Type-C Cable allows me to monitor transfer speeds when necessary. The built-in microscreen has been helpful to estimate how long it takes for large files to transfer. It is a great addition to my transfer toolbox.

Over the last few years Type C connections have become the ‘standard’, so in theory you only need one type of cable. However, whilst all the connections may be the same, not all Type C cables are equal. I have numerous cables that all look similar but have different ratings in their ability to transfer of power and data, and I have to guess their ratings based on how thick the cable is.
However the DroiX USB 4.0 Type-C Cable helpfully has this stamped on the connector at one end so it’s clear it’s a power and data cable. In addition, the other end displays as an illuminated number showing the amount of power (in watts) going through the cable. I can’t verify how accurate this is, but I have no reason to believe it’s not.
At first I thought the cable was quite expensive, but it’s not when compared with say thin cables by the likes of apple. The cable is quite stiff but then it is a premium power/data cable for use with say thunderbolt 3 - 4 and not a simply travel cable for charging a mobile (where a cheap (or not so cheap) cable will do). Plus, that it shows the amount of power going through it is both helpful and very cool.
This is by far the best cable I own. I thought myself rather ‘sad’ to write a review about a cable, but I can’t be alone in having favourite cables, and you have just spent time to read this review to the end! Hopefully I’ve been helpful.
