As with all reviews it is just like a psp. I did see a video review about the screen flickering from sliding the screen to use the keyboard. Hopefully I won’t have that issue. I do enjoy the product.

Both the machine and the service from Droix blew my mind! The Win 4 is an amazing piece of hardware that exceeded my expectations, but the delivery from Droix was surprisingly quick. It arrived all the way to Hawaii 4 days earlier than quoted! Extremely satisfied by my choice of product and vendor.

Been having so much fun playing this thing. Droix delivered in a few days and came with a warranty. Mt lady and I played rdr2 side by side her on the ps5 me on here. It was lovely

I ordered this device to replace my laptop, which is a relatively old/plain Lenovo Yoga with a dedicated Nvidia GTX 1050. It has been my primary PC for several years. I wanted portability, hence the laptop, but this device is next level. Replacing a more bulky laptop and power brick with this device and USB-C charging is pretty great!

I primarily used the laptop for work but the Win 4 2023/7840u is quickly replacing my laptop for everything - and giving me more opportunities for gaming.
I use the following setups:
1. It works well for work with a USB-C hub and my dual monitor setup
2. Great as a standalone device on the couch/on the go
3. Fun with Xreal Air glasses – though I do not advise those types of
glasses for reading lots of text due to lens distortion
This device has performed above my expectations in all use cases, so I can’t complain much but here are a few things to know before you buy:
1. The sticks are ALPS and will wear out over time – if you own Nintendo Switch Joy Cons, you may be familiar with the drift issue that occurs over time. There is also a large dead-zone issue by default/out of the box. I have hall effect sticks on hand but have not installed them yet; however, my understanding is that GPD has released a dead-zone fix.
2. There have been QC issues noted with the stock thermal paste installation – at least with the 6840u variant. You may want to redo this yourself.
3. To achieve peak performance, you need to use the maximum power draw – 28w to 30w – which will drain the battery in about 1-2 hours. So, don’t expect to game a ton away from an outlet.
4. Both USB-C ports support video and charging!
5. You need high-end USB-C cables to power this device or to support video output – don’t expect a $10 cable from the gas station to cut it.
6. The screen is about as small as a typical phone. The resolution is good, and games look great at medium settings or less. I have found the screen to be totally readable for subtitles.
7. The screen protector that comes with the device is trash and you will need something else.
8. You won’t want to use the built-in keyboard for extended typing – but it works well for a sentence and works great for a couple of words such as a password or quick command.
9. I’ve noticed the main left and right trigger are squeaky.

I am really loving my GPD Win 4 2023! I feel like it meets/exceeds all expectations of a gaming handheld device! Absolutely, nothing better than this in my opinion! I'm so glad purchased from Droix that was delightful from the start of my purchase to the delivery of my GPD Win4. During the wait I've queried Droix support and got prompt answers and the delivery was quick once they got them in stock! Also, with the 2 year warranty from Droix gives me some piece of mind. Thoroughly, enjoying gaming my Windows games anywhere now! Love the keyboard for my old games!!!
