The gpd pocket 4 mini is 20 centimeters big. My phone is 16 centimeters big. And my old phone is 14 centimeters big

My goal is to put my sim card in it for on the go internet. And use it like a phone. With the phone link app. And have both mobile games using google play games and steam games all at once
While still being able to make calls like a normal phone. Keeping it in my pocket

It is a very neat feature having the ability to change between tablet and mini laptop modes.
Guys listen. Google will be putting android on mac books soon. If I could put android, on this device, and use it like a phone, thats the dream. That’s my ultimate goal. And increase it’s performance so you can play any games

Just to let you know: in France in can be illegal to sell a PC bundled with an OS if the seller does not offer options (choice of OS, choice to not have an OS), or if the seller does not agree to refund the bundled OS.
We are based in United Kingdom.
It’s not relevant, in France a French citizen won a trial against Hewlet Packard on that matter, and in Italy an Italian citizen won against Lenovo. Neither HP nor Lenovo are European company, but they had to refund the unwanted Windows licence bundled with the PC 🙂
We are a distributor for GPD in China and they provide it with the Windows license as standard. We have forwarded your request to provide an option to not have windows installed.
Will it only be sold with Win11 Pro preinstalled or something? I want Parrot Security OS on it, at least load it with some sort of Linux Distro or hypervisor so I can use it for some normal stuff. Win11 Pro is terrible for professionals despite the name, it is just a bunch of useless bloat, but Parrot Security OS or Kali Linux are perfect, and they aren’t loaded with spyware like Windows. I hope you don’t preload it with some antivirus either, they are just as bad as Windows. Definitely don’t try to limit anything people can do with it or it will become useless like all Dell laptops. If it’s for professionals, they should be able to figure out how to configure the software themself and they shouldn’t need an antivirus to stop them from downloading malware. If the user wants Windows, let them find out how to get it for themselves, load something minimal on it like Ubuntu or Fedora – Fedora was made for professional use! Maybe don’t put any OS on it, that would make it painless to configure the device from nothing. Don’t ruin a great device with proprietary software, bloat, an antivirus, or spyware.
Its comes with Windows as standard. You are free to install any OS you wish to but do check that it is fully supported in terms of drivers etc as we do not provide any support for other OS.

In relation to the lack of camera, I’m happy about this. One less point of failure, thinner bezels and let’s face it, you can always hook up your phone and use that as a camera. I use Samsung Wireless DeX and a Webcam App.i use my phone as a tether.
Celebrate. This is the laptop we’ve been waiting for. It’s been years in the making and they’ve knocked it out of the park. I hope to God it lasts for 8 hours. Well do e GPD.
The battery life should be pretty good. Its a lower power demanding Intel CPU than the AMD’s found in their recent devices.

I really miss the ‘menu’ key on the keyboard on the original MicroPC. I see it wasn’t added with the next version.

While not confirmed by GPD, as far as we know there is no camera on the MicroPC 2
